Academic Advising

What is Academic Advising?

Academic advising begins when you enroll at RCC. Meeting with your academic advisor/SUCCESS coach is the first step to ensuring that you are on-track with your degree or certificate program of study. Advisors/SUCCESS coaches provide holistic support and guide you through the academic experience to post-grad journey.

Students should initiate the advising. Advisement is provided in-person and virtually (on Zoom); offered by appointment or on a drop-in basis. Students should plan to meet with their advisor twice (2X) a semester. In addition to scheduled appointments and drop-in advising, advisors are available to answer student inquiries via e-mail. For e-mail inquiries, please allow two business days for a response.

SAME DAY ASSISTANCE Drop-in Hours:

Individual Appointments

Students are welcome to schedule an appointment with their advisor, via EAB Navigate360. Appointments are typically thirty minutes, either in-person or online. Students are expected to arrive/login on time and expected to reach out if they are running late. If you are more than fifteen minutes late to your appointment, your advisor may ask that you reschedule.
